Want to be the coolest guy at the next car show, well here is your chance. This resto-mod 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air has the classic design with upgraded suspension and running gear. The previous owner has spared no expense to get this beautiful car to this point, just put the finishing touches on it and you will have a car that will only increase in value. The exterior and drivetrain are done and are ready to go, just finish the interior the way you prefer, and the car is complete.

The first thing you notice is the chop top. Starting with a bare body he removed the top, sectioned the rear portion, removed 3” and put it back together to get a very stunning effect. The chop was done in such a way the rear window size was retained and the windshield was cut down from stock windshield glass. He also replaced the front floor pans which are a common issue caused by clogged cowl drain holes. The cowl section was repaired, and custom larger drains were installed to drain under the hood by the firewall instead of down small tubes that ran out under the car. A fiberglass hood with a cowl induction scoop was added for weight savings and to make room for the blower. Afterward, the body was covered inside and out with a beautiful two-tone blue paint job.

This beautiful body is set on a custom-built frame built on a frame table with an upgraded suspension that allows this car to ride and handle like a more model car. This setup also allows the 275/60R15 Nitto Extreme Drag tires to fit inside the stock wheel wells without tubbing. The heart of the car is a 4-bolt main 400 CI Small Block Chevy with a 350 Crank bored .030 making the engine Displacement 377 cubic inches. The crank, connecting rods, and pistons are all forged parts. The heads are Edelbrock Victor Series aluminum heads that have great flow and weight savings. The cam is a hydraulic roller cam and the rocker arms are Crower Stainless Steel Rockers. There is a 7 Quart oil pan with windage tray and the car has always run 50W/50 oil. This engine is topped off with a Weiand 177 Blower and an 850 CFM thermo-quad that runs on 93 Octane fuel. The engine breathes out through a set of custom-built headers and true dual exhaust system. A 700 R4 transmission transfers the power from the engine to the rear axle and features a TCI manual valve body with a reverse shift pattern. The Rear axle is a Ford 9 inch with 4.30 gears, 31 Spline Axles, and a Detroit locker. Front brakes are 81 Camaro Iroc Disc brakes and the rear brakes are 11x2.5 Drum Brakes.

The interior of this car has many features but gives the new owner the ability to make it his or her own. The car is equipped with vintage air, power windows, 4-speaker stereo, a full Dakota Digital in dash gauge and a Westach multi-gauge with Boost Pressure and Exhaust gas temperature. On the steering column there is an Auto Meter Pro-shift lite and the car also has an Auto Meter air /fuel ratio meter. The AFR meter has a switch to monitor the air /fuel ratio of each side of the motor individually with a wide band 02 sensors in each exhaust header. Dynamat is installed on the floors and trunk waiting for your choice of carpet. Included are the front bench frame, rear set frame, and other parts that will help you finish and maintain this beautiful classic for years to come.
