Just in time for the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1954 550 Spyder, Porsche created the 2004 Boxster 550 Spyder S Special Edition. Real performance parts have been added to make this the ultimate 986 Boxster. An 8hp power boost, short shifter (with 15% less travel), sport exhaust, 10mm reduced ride height, and four-piston aluminum brakes honed the performance. Silver paint from the Carrera GT, 5mm wheel spacers, grey 18" Carrera wheels, leather-trimmed interior, dark chromium gauge surrounds, painted interior trim, and a bespoke exhaust tip set the 550 Spyder S evokes Porsche's racing heritage. Less than 2,000 produced worldwide and only 500 allocated for the United States, making this not just the most enjoyable 986 Boxster S to drive, but the most collectible as well.

HISTORY
This Boxster 550 Spyder S was delivered as a personal lease in California in May 2004. They kept it for a year and a half and 15K miles when it was sold to the second owner in 2007. The second owner had the Boxster for just over 3 years and less than 3K miles, providing regular service. The third owner bought it in May 2010, keeping it for 5 years and 19K miles. The current owner purchased it in August 2015 from AlphaCars, driving it less than 3K miles a year and providing regular, impressive service.
CONDITION
This Boxster 550 Spyder S is in excellent condition. All service is up to date. The interior is in excellent condition, with minimal wear on the driver's seat bolster. Exterior Carerra GT Silver paint is impressive and factory original with the exception of the left rear quarter panel which has cosmetic refinishing work. Professionally done and we were only able to detect it with our paint meter tool. A set of manuals and service records are included with this Porsche. COMPREHENSIVE INSPECTION & SERVICE STATUS:
We performed a comprehensive vehicle inspection. (Here is the link to see the underbody overview). Our master technician checked the entire vehicle. The vehicle was road-tested, and all functions tested, including electrical, drivability, and accessories. All maintenance and service updates were completed, as well as Concours-level reconditioning and detailing work. The vehicle drives very nicely, shifts beautifully, clutch feels great, and engages smoothly. We believe that the IMS bearing has not been upgraded to the LH Engineering version yet, something we recommend, and our Service Team can do this job.
