The 1956 Ford F-100 holds a special place in truck history as the only year with a completely unique body style and exclusive design features such as a wrap-around windshield, distinctive parking light and grille assembly design, a unique dash gauge layout, and the introduction of electric wipers along with a 12-volt electrical system.

This particular truck has undergone a full frame-off restoration in 2012, blending classic charm with modern performance. The original 6-cylinder engine has been replaced with a powerful 5.0L Ford 302 V8 paired with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. It also features a custom wood bed and American Racing 15" Baja wheels for added style (the original wheels and hubcaps with white wall tires are also included).

While it is not a factory Big Window model—only 6,200 of those were produced in 1956—it remains a rare and desirable classic.

HISTORY

This 1956 Ford F-100 was purchased in 2014 from a dealer who had received it as a trade-in, and the restoration was approximately completed during 2012. Since then, it has been meticulously cared for, stored in a heated space, and driven less than 50 miles per year.

CONDITION

The truck underwent a full frame-off restoration prior to purchase, featuring a 5.0L Ford 302 V8 engine upgrade and a custom wood bed. It remains in excellent condition and has been preserved as a show-quality classic. Please note that the speedometer and coolant temperature gauge are currently inoperable.
