This 1989 VAZ-2109 (or Lada Sputnik) is a two-owner accident-free vehicle. It has never been winter driven, and its condition can be best described as if just came off the dealer's lot. Indeed, almost 30 years after, the car is in the same great condition and even has the same new Lada smell.

The first VAZ-2109 was produced in 1987, following the success of VAZ-2108. In fact, these two cars are almost entirely identical, the only difference being two additional doors that make VAZ-2109 a great choice as a family vehicle. In the last few years of the USSR, the VAZ-2109 became a symbol of one's financial wellbeing and status.

VAZ-2109 production span for 17 years and ended up in 2004. Throughout these years its exterior had a minor facelift in early 1990s. Most modifications were done to its engine: during the last few years of its production VAZ-2109 came out with a fuel-injected engine.
