This remarkably well preserved A65T Thunderbolt is the rider you have been looking for! Less than 16k miles over 53 years, this bike exudes not only charming British character but a patina that only comes from sustained enjoyment on the road and care in the garage. The tank is gorgeous and dent-free, both emblems intact. The seat is free of any rips or tears. All electrics & lights work! The torquey engine is in fine condition, starting easily with a solid kick and revving easily. Shifting through the 4-Speed gearbox is easily performed with your right foot (just as mother England intended). Period correct rubber on the new front tire matched the like new rear. There are some minor imperfections and touch-ups throughout, keeping in the character of regular maintenance. The BSA A65T Thunderbolt was born from the classic age of British motorcycles. Style, performance, character, and performance came together in a way never since duplicated. Boasting a 650cc twin, a large single Amal carburetor, and a 4-speed gearbox, the Thunderbolt could comfortably cruise at 70mph and top the ton when you needed it. 1968 saw a number of improvements, including metal tank badges, revised Amal carburetor, longer kick start lever, and a stiffer suspension.
