WHY THIS RETRO?
A scarce offering! The Retro, Classic, in particular, has a stylish look from the thirties with the technology of the 21st century. The Retro roots go back to 1939 when the original factory was founded. While the drivetrain is the same as other Urals, what makes the Retro different? Elegant tear-drop gas tank over the bike's vintage style A-Frame, slim fenders, round running lamps, one-piece headlamp housing, low sidecar frame, smaller 18 wheels, luxury rider seat, and sidecar interior, and era distinctive side-mounted toolbox - are the unique Retro appearance features. Most of these parts were hand-made at the factory, which led to cost-prohibitive production, and the factory stopped in 2018. The 2013 models are the most desirable because they are the last year of the bikes with carbureted engines with the most improvements before Ural's switch to EFI in 2014.

Retro Classic arrived in the US in November 2013, and we sold it to the original owner in 2014. This long-time Ural enthusiast had a Ural Patrol 2WD, which he traded for this Retro because of the Retro's unique look and handling characteristics. He constantly stored the bike inside and maintained it cosmetically and mechanically and offered to purchase the bike back because of the lifestyle changes.
