HISTORY
This Sportwagen had only two owners, with the most recent being a lifelong Volkswagen enthusiast and professional auto detailer. The original owner bought the Golf new with pre-paid maintenance, ensuring the first two services were performed at the VW dealer, as shown on the Carfax. Shortly after the second service, the original owner traded the vehicle into a highly-rated local Lexus dealer. The most recent owner acquired this Golf from that dealer with only 25K miles, and this was when the tasteful modifications and meticulous maintenance began. We acquired the Golf directly from the last owner, and he related how reliable and trouble-free the vehicle was during his ownership. He performed meticulous maintenance, and the vehicle never needed a dealer trip in his 32K miles of ownership. He only used a specific highly-rated European Specialty Shop to perform annual 4-wheel alignments and for tire mounting and balancing.
CONDITION
This Golf presents impeccably. The exterior condition is consistent with the age and mileage of the vehicle, and the 7-Year Ceramic Coating has prevented swirls and water spots from appearing on exterior surfaces. The interior smells fresh and is blemish-free, and the factory Golf R seats are in like-new condition. The underbody is clean and free from any penetrating rust, as the previous owner detailed the underbody twice a year. The previous owner related to us why "minor damage" was recorded on the Carfax before his possession. Before the original owner traded the vehicle into the Lexus dealer, they bumped a trash can with one of the mirrors and cracked the plastic mirror base. This caused the "minor damage" report on the Carfax when the shop replaced the mirror. As shown by the paint meter readings, all paint thicknesses on metal surfaces are consistent with factory specifications.
